Adhesives and Sealants in Battery and Hybrid Electric Vehicules

Adhesives and sealants have played an important role in the advancement of vehicle electrification technology and will remain at the forefront of the development of hybrid (HEV) and battery electric (BEV) vehicle battery cells, modules, packs, and motors. Battery technology in cars today has been adapted from consumer electronics. In order to meet the more stringent requirements of the automotive industry, battery makers need to find ways to achieve a 12 to 15-year vehicle life while operating at extreme temperatures and enduring the shock and vibration generated from on and off-road driving.
